Update On Our Response To COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic is one of the toughest challenges our generation has faced. Here, at Bay Area Sanitize, the health and safety of our  customers and employees are top of mind amid concerns about the spread of the COVID-19. We are here to serve and support you during these unprecedented times, and we want to share information with you about how we continue to operate safely and effectively.

While most states currently have ‘shelter in place’ in effect and enforce social distancing, some of you may be wondering if moving is allowed during this period. With the updated ‘stay-at-home’ order from Santa Clara county, moving services have been included as an essential service.

Bay Area Sanitize is open and operating to assist Bay Area residents with moving and relocation during the outbreak and we want to share the following information with you on actions we take to address COVID-19:

  • Our team is following information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and federal, state and local authorities to help ensure that we are taking all the precautionary steps. We have routinely meetings with our employees to keep them updated on the current situation and on any actions and new guidelines needed to ensure their safety and the safety of our clients.
  • As a precautionary measure, we have installed hand sanitizer stations in our office, and we are conducting enhanced cleaning regularly.
  • Our trucks and equipment are being cleaned and sanitized on a daily basis to ensure the safety of our customers and employees.
  • Our specialists now perform virtual in-home estimates to replace in-person ones, where they virtually view your home or office with you in order to account for all the items being moved and to provide a more accurate quote.
  • Teams are instructed to maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet of distance from each other.
  • Our teams are being checked daily and we have implemented the usage of sanitizers in each of our trucks and have added gloves as a protection gear.

Our thoughts are with anyone affected by COVID-19. Our first priority remains keeping our employees and clients safe while doing what we can to help minimize potential spread of the Coronavirus.

We will continue to strive hard to provide the level of service and reliability you have come to expect from Bay Area Sanitize.

Please stay safe and stay healthy!

Tips to protect yourself and stay safe

Here are some of the recommendations from the CDC to stay safe and to protect yourself during the pandemic.

Flexibility with scheduling

As we deal with the COVID-19 outbreak in the Bay Area, we are taking precautions to protect our clients and employees. We kindly request clients that they inform us should any of them or their immediate family member experience any cold like symptoms and need to postpone their move. We will be happy to accommodate the request and schedule the move after they feel well.
